Civic Extra-Mural Lectures
The Council of the Association felt that a close identity should be established between the citizens of Salford and its University and to this end the Association approached the University authorities, who were favourably impressed with the proposal. The views of the Association were then conveyed to the Mayor of Salford, who agreed to bestow civic patronage on "The Civic Extra- Mural Lecture".
